The school library plays an essential role in students’ academic success. It supports them in developing their independence, critical thinking and enjoyment of reading. It is a calm and welcoming space, open to all students. They can read, study or carry out research in a suitable environment.

A RICH AND MULTILINGUAL COLLECTION
The library offers more than 36,700 items in a wide range of languages:
- Main languages: French, English, German
- Other languages: Luxembourgish, Bulgarian, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish.
A selection of magazines and newspapers in several languages is also available.
ACCESS TO THE ONLINE CATALOGUE
The online catalogue Oliver is available at: https://eel1.oliverasp.co.uk
Each student has a personal account which allows them to:
- View borrowed items
- Extend loan periods
- Create reading lists…
How to log in:
- Use the school email address (the same as for Office)
- Click on “Forgot password” to create a password if you log in for the first time
The catalogue can also be accessed without logging in (read-only mode).

8 computers are available for research and schoolwork during free periods.
National Library of Luxembourg (BnL)
Registration is strongly recommended from pupils (from 14). It provides access to a wide range of resources:

BORROWING
- Students must present their school ID card (or give their surname)
- 3 books can be borrowed at the same time, loan period is 3 weeks
- Renewals are possible on request
Students are responsible for borrowed items. Lost or damaged items must be replaced.
OPENING HOURS AND STUDENT ACCESS
School library is opened from Monday to Thursday: 8:05 – 16:00, on Friday: 8:05 – 13h30
- An introduction session is organised at the beginning of the school year for Year 1 students.
- Activities are organised throughout the year in collaboration with teachers to promote reading and to develop students’ information literacy skills, including information searching, source citation and the critical evaluation of information.
LIBRARY RULES
To ensure a pleasant working environment, students are expected to:
- Behave respectfully and remain quiet
- Leave bags in the lockers at the entrance
- Place their student card on the librarian’s desk
- Respect equipment and keep their workspace tidy
- Not bring food or drinks
- Not play games (including online games)
- Follow the librarian’s instructions
The school’s mobile phone policy also applies in the library.
