Financial assistance from the CAS<\/h1>\n

The European School Luxembourg I has established rules for the allocation of these funds based on the priorities defined by the School Director and set out in the rules published below.<\/p>\n

These regulations set out the terms and conditions for the allocation of financial assistance to parents of pupils at the European School Luxembourg 1, funded by the Social Activities Committee (CAS). This assistance is intended to support families on low incomes with expenses related to compulsory school trips organised by our school and approved by the director, and educational projects involving travel and approved by the director.<\/p>\n

Article 2 \u2013 Budget and fund management
\n1. The CAS allocates an annual budget of EUR 10,000 to the school.
\n2. The school acts as the fiduciary manager of these funds, which remain the property of CAS.
\n3. Any assistance granted is deducted directly from the invoices for the school trips concerned, without any direct payment to parents.
\n4. Unused funds are carried over to the following year as reserves.<\/p>\n

Article 3 \u2013 Eligibility criteria
\n1. Families who meet the following conditions are eligible for assistance:
\n\u2022 Household income below a threshold defined according to household size (based on the standard equivalence scale published by STATEC).
\n\u2022 Proven financial difficulties (unemployment, illness, accident, separation, etc.).
\n\u2022 Absence of other aid covering the entire expenditure concerned.
\n\u2022 No outstanding debts or late payments to the school.
\n2. Assistance is primarily allocated to compulsory school trips.<\/p>\n

Article 4 \u2013Amount of aid
\n1. The amount granted is calculated on the basis of the household’s total net disposable income, adjusted according to family composition.
\n2. Expenses are covered according to the following scale:
\n\u2022 1 child registered: minimum assistance of EUR 150 and up to 50% of the cost of the trip.
\n\u2022 2 children registered: minimum assistance of EUR 150 and up to 62.5% of the cost of the trip.
\n\u2022 3 or more children: minimum assistance of EUR 150 and up to 83.5% of the cost of the trip.
\n3. The aid may not exceed the amount remaining to be paid after deduction of other aid received..<\/p>\n

Article 5 \u2013 Application procedures
\n1. Deadlines: Applications must be submitted between 15 January and 15 March for compulsory school trips and teaching projects involving travel. School outings for nursery, primary and secondary schools will be planned at a later stage.
\n2. Required documents:
\n\u2022 Signed application form.
\n\u2022 Certificate of household composition.
\n\u2022 The last three payslips for each parent.
\n\u2022 Proof of child benefit received.
\n\u2022 Unemployment certificate (if applicable).
\n\u2022 Proof of custody in the event of separation.
\n3. Incomplete applications will not be processed.<\/p>\n

Article 6 \u2013 Processing of applications and decisions
\n1. Applications are analyzed by the school’s accounting department before being approved by the Deputw Director for Finqnce qnd Qd,inistrqtion (DDFA) and final decision by the Director.
\n2. A written response will be sent to parents within 20 working days (excluding school holidays) following the deadline for submission.
\n3. If the available budget is exceeded, the grants will be adjusted proportionally.<\/p>\n

Article 7 \u2013 Appeal
\n1. As the grants are managed by the CAS and the school acts as a fiduciary manager, no administrative appeal is possible.<\/p>\n

Article 8 \u2013 Sanctions in case of fraud
\n1. Any false declaration will result in the immediate cancellation of the grant.
\n2. Parents who are guilty of fraud will no longer be eligible for any financial assistance throughout their child(ren)’s schooling.<\/p>\n

Article 9 \u2013 Monitoring and adjustments
\n1. An annual report is submitted to the CAS, presenting:
\n\u2022 The number of applications received and accepted.
\n\u2022 The total and average amount of aid granted.
\n\u2022 Use of the annual budget.
\n2. A review of the system is planned for 2027 with a view to possibly adjusting the rules from 2028 onwards.<\/p>\n

Article 10 \u2013 Data protection
\n1. The documents provided are treated as strictly confidential.
\n2. The personal data collected is retained only for the period necessary to process applications and manage grants.
\n3. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), parents may exercise their right to access and rectify data concerning them.<\/p>\n

These regulations shall come into force on 1 January 2026. Any amendments to these regulations shall be officially communicated to parents.<\/p>\n

\n– First adult in the household : 30.477,60 EUR
\n– Every other adult in the household (coefficient 0.5) : 15.238,80 EUR
\n– Every child aged 14 and over (coefficient 0.5) : 15.238,80 EUR
\n– Each child under the age of 14 (coefficient 0.3) : 9.143,28 EUR<\/p>\n
