Nursery and Primary : Sensory room<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A sensory room is a special room designed to develop a person’s senses, usually through special lighting, music and objects.\u00a0 It can be used as therapy for children with limited communication skills, but also for children who have difficulty expressing their feelings, calming down or dealing with their fears and aggressions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since April 2019, we have created a sensory room in each of the nursery and primary schools, which can be described a sa great\u00a0 success and a significant support for our pupils.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A sensory room provides the children with different sources of stimulation through special lighting, music and a selection of touch and smell objects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0environment\u00a0promotes\u00a0physical\u00a0and mental relaxation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other\u00a0benefits\u00a0include\u00a0increased\u00a0concentration,\u00a0improved\u00a0hand-eye\u00a0coordination and a\u00a0general\u00a0sense\u00a0of\u00a0well-being.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
