Submission of Covid-19 related case information

Introduction

Dear parents, dear students, dear colleagues,

thank you for visiting this page and thus helping us to manage the administrative part of the Covid-19 pandemic situation as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Submission of Covid-19 related information

Please report all relevant information as soon as you have received it. This allows the school to update the global assessment of the pandemic situation at school as well as analyzing the specific case related information.

Please do not submit information and/or documents where we specify explicitly further down on this page that we do not need or want this information.

Forms to be used

With the exception of the rapid antigenic self-test, there a two options to submit information and documents to the vie the online forms:

  • PREFERRED OPTION: identified login with the Microsoft O365 login of your child (or yourself if you are a major student or staff member). This allows to submit information AND all relevant documents at the same moment.
  • Exceptional option : submitting information without a Microsoft O365 login. In this case, only text can be submitted, but all relevant documents need to be sent separately sent by e-mail. This results in a manual treatment of all documents.

Feedback from the school’s Covid-19 team

In general, the school’s Covid-19 team will contact you by e-mail or by phone to confirm reception of submitted documents or other information if needed. Our quality assurance procedures enable us to monitor missing or incomplete information on each submitted case and guarantee an individual follow-up, based on current priorities.

PCR test result

  • If you have received a positive PCR test result (NOT a rapid self-test), please use the following forms to submit all relevant data as well as the document with the test result.

If you have received a negative PCR test result, you have to distinguish between several situations:

  • If you have previously already informed the school about symptoms (for your child or yourself if you are a student or staff member), then please submit the result and the document via the form below.
  • If you have performed the PCR test as a compulsory test in the context of a quarantine order (in Luxembourg, a compulsory PCR test is legally required as of the 6th day of the quarantine), please do NOT submit the the result nor the document if the test is negative. The school does neither need nor verify this result and/or document.

Rapid antigenic self-test result

If you have performed a rapid autogenic self-test OR a certified rapid autogenic self-test (e.g. in a pharmacy), please report the test immediately by using the following form.

Reminder: if your child (or yourself as a major student) performs this in the context of the rapid testing in school (and you have signed and submitted the specific consent form), then you are obliged to report every test result, be it positive or negativ, as a proof of correct use of the test kits made available by the school.

If your child (or yourself as a major student) performs this in the context of the rapid testing in school (and you have signed and submitted the specific consent form), then you are obliged to report every test result, be it positive or negativ, as a proof of correct use of the test kits made available by the school.

Please DO NOT report negative test results of tests that were not provided by the school, but purchased or provided from a different source.

In contrary to the national public schools in Luxembourg, please note that the European Schools in Luxembourg are legally not entitled to produce and provide negative test  such certificates, based on the results of rapid antigenic tests performed in school.

In the case of a positive result, the school will contact the person(s) indicated on the declaration of participation, or alternatively the contacts recorded in the child’s enrolment files. The school does not communicate about individual negative results.

Quarantine documents

  • If you have received a quarantine document form the competent authorities, please use the following forms to submit all relevant data as well as the documents.

  • If you have performed a PCR test as a compulsory test in the context of a quarantine order (in Luxembourg, a compulsory PCR test is legally required as of the 6th day of the quarantine), please do NOT submit the the result nor the document if the test is negative. The school does neither need nor verify this result and/or document.

Please be aware that a quarantine order for your child (or yourself if you are a major student) may contain a school release (derogation) for quarantine – Covid-19″ (the document is titled “Autorisation de sortie pour raison scolaire dans le cadre d’une mise en quarantaine – Covid-19”). In this case, your child (or yourself if you are a major student) is obliged to come to work because your child can attend school.

If you have received a quarantine document form the competent authorities that contains a school release (derogation) for quarantine – Covid-19″ (the document is titled “Autorisation de sortie pour raison scolaire dans le cadre d’une mise en quarantaine – Covid-19”), then you are obliged to perform a rapid antigenic self-testing every 48 hours.

You DO NOT have to report negative test results. If the test result is positive, please inform the competent authorities immediately and then inform the school using the following form:

Isolation documents

  • If you have received an isolation document form the competent authorities, please use the following forms to submit all relevant data as well as the documents.

In general, there is no requirement to perform a PCR test at the end of the isolation period (e.g. after having been initially diagnosed as Covid-19 positive). Unless otherwise requested by the competent authorities, your child (or yourself if you are a major student or staff member) may return to school without this test.

In any case, the school neither requires nor needs such a PCR test at the end of the isolation period.

Some parents, students or colleagues seem to be confused by the end dates indicated in the official Luxembourg isolation documents .

Clarification: the school is advised that all periods notified in official documents (quarantine orders or isolation orders) are to be considered for the total duration of the mentioned period which means the last day included. Therefore your child (or yourself if you are a major student) can only return to school the day AFTER the last date indicated in the document.
