FAMES 2020 “Breaking walls – Building bridges”
„That’s what all art’s about – a sense of moving away from boundaries that you can’t in real life. Like a dancer is always trying to fly, really – to do something that’s just not possible. But you try to do as much as you can within those physical boundaries.“ – Kate Bush
In 2020, 200 art and music students from all over Europe will meet with to cross these borders … real borders and new borders in our heads …
The 2nd Festival for Art and Music of the European Schools is taking place in Luxembourg this year. Together with the European School Junglinster and Clervaux we organize a colorful, exciting and lively art event.
From March 11th to 15th, 2020 all the music and art students will join the large community of artists from all over Europe and try to build bridges where there is irreconcilability, to create things that seem impossible.
Our European Art and Music Festival is dedicated to living together at a time when new walls are forming in our heads. The approach to the topic takes place in various projects, including music ensembles such as symphony orchestras, string orchestras, choirs and pop music groups, performance groups and in visual arts projects. The young artists first exchange and try out themselves in small groups, in workshops, treading their own and common paths and come up with new ideas, melodies and creations that come together in a common final act.
All the creative results will be presented during a final concert and as part of an exhibition. Guests from education and politics, teachers, sponsors and patrons can look forward to exciting appearances and campaigns.
