Handichiens:

Le lundi 16 Janvier, après midi, des personnes de l’association Asa asbl ont visité la maternelle.
L’association à comme but de récolter des fonds pour financer l’éducation dans un centre spécialisé :
-des chiens d’assistance pour personnes à mobilité réduite.
-des chiens d'assistance pour enfants trisomiques ou polyhandicapés.
- des chiens d'assistance pour structures et maisons de retraite.

Les personnes de l'association sont venus avec quatre chiens dans la salle de gym de la maternelle.
Les enfants ont été divisé en quatre groupes pour que chaque enfant puisse voir et apprécier ce que ces chiens spéciaux ont appris à l'école.

L'année dernière, notre école a collecté suffisamment de bouchons pour financer l'achat d'un chien.
Nous continuons à collecter des bouchons pour financer l'achat d'un deuxième chien.

Saint Nicolas:

On December 2nd, St Nicholas came to the nursery.
All the children waited for him in the hall but only St. Nicholas´ helpers arrived.
So the children went to the gym looking for him. And what a surprise!... He was there sleeping on his bed in his bedroom. The children called him. He woke up and came to the podium and they all sang together.
After that he proceeded to the classrooms giving presents.

Santa Lucia:

On December 13th, the Swedish people celebrate the festival of Santa Lucia. It is a tradition for girls in Sweden to dress up as Santa Lucia. They wear white dresses with red sashes and crowns of candles.
In the past, these candles were real, but now these days they are not. The girls wake up their families in the morning with a tray of coffee and saffron rolls, called Lussekattor in Swedish.
The boys wear white tops and bottoms and cone-shaped hats with gold stars on them. and carry candles. They are called starboys.
On this day one girl who wears the crown of candles and the other children parade through their town, singing the Santa Lucia song. This tradition is celebrated by the Swedish, Finnish and Danish nursery classes in European school.
