Stock Exchange Competition 2010by Mike Davey 19th January 2011 Each year the Caisse d’Epargne runs a stock exchange competition for students from Luxembourg secondary schools. Each team uses a fictitious 50000€ to buy shares on the european markets, hoping to win by buying shares that rise in value over the 12 week period of the game. This year we have two teams which were placed in the top ten, so each member of these teams was presented with a cash prize at a reception organised by the BCEE on January 11th 2011.
These two teams turned their 50000€ into 59199€ and 59803€ respectively, which was a fine result in difficult market conditions. We also had several teams that were just outside the top ten. Congratulations to all the teams that enjoyed taking part.
