(04/10/2018) ARTICLE WRITTEN BY STUDENTS ON RTL
The next "EU president" could come from Luxembourg—again!

As part of an eclectic teenager feature on the English language website of the Luxembourgish RTL, Jade and Kalina, two secondary students of the European School Luxembourg I, had the chance to interview the potential successor of Jean-Claude Juncker as President of the European Commission, former Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. Mr Stubb has announced his candidacy for becoming the ‘Spitzenkandidat’ of the largest European party group on Tuesday. They talk about his dream EU, opportunities and risks for teenagers in the EU and the need for Europe to “get back on the barricades and defend european values”. He also gives some insight into what he believes is the future of learning, which doesn’t consist of 20-30 pupils sitting quietly in a room in perfect neat rows. The interview can be found here.
